Andrew S. May, Esq., President of May Law, PC, attended the National Futures Association’s (NFA) one-day workshops on March 2, 2010. The keynote address was given by CFTC Commissioner Michael Dun. The topics included CPO/CTA regulation, disclosure to current and performance repository. The afternoon session covered pool reporting, sales practices and surviving an NFA audit.

“The sessions are invaluable into gaining insight as to how the regulators approach own their rules and regulations and different scenarios,” Mr. May said.

Andrew S. May, Esq., President of May Law, PC, attended the Chicago Bar Association’s Annual Securities Law Seminar on March 18, 2010. The seminar focused on how the upheaval in the financial markets have affected the number of customer initiated arbitrations, the types of claims made and the overall “win” rate for claimants. Also, the retention efforts of reorganization of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) were discussed.
